Hi, I’m Phil Jones.

I’m a freelance video professional with more than 15 years’ experience in camera operating and video editing, alongside extensive experience across live events, corporate production, sports press environments, festivals and award shows.

I work across both the technical and creative sides of production. That means I’m as comfortable thinking about signal flow, LED processing and vision control as I am thinking about framing, pacing and what the audience actually sees.

My live skill set covers vision engineering, guarantee support, LED and NovaStar workflows, projection, streaming and remote events, camera mixing and directing, graphics/VT and general video operations.

I’ve built my reputation around being reliable, adaptable and straightforward to work with. When a production gets busy, I’m there to solve problems, communicate clearly and help the wider team get the job done properly.

POPPAGOODS LTD was established in 2023 as the home of my freelance technical work. Today it provides specialist video support to production teams across the UK and beyond, with the long-term ambition to grow into a wider production company while keeping the same practical, hands-on approach.
